Cairns Comes Calling

New Zealand painter Geoff Dixon has taken up a two-month residency at the Arts Centre. Born in Bluff in 1954 Geoff graduated with a certificate of graphic design from CPIT and now lives and paints in Cairns.

Geoff's current work focuses on large-scale endangered-bird portraits within and alien sci-fi landscape, including the compromised Takahe and the Australian Cassowary.
