Corban (Ngāi Tahu) was appointed as a trustee of The Arts Centre of Christchurch Trust Board in July 2021.

He is a kaiārahi in the College of Engineering at the University of Canterbury. Previously, he was the Canterbury Museum Curator of Human History (Mātauranga Māori) and holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Canterbury in Māori and Indigenous Studies, Te Reo Māori and Political Science.
