A born and bred Cantabrian, Michael Rondel has been an Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora trustee since 2011, being reappointed under the Act in 2015 and 2018.
He is committed to Ōtautahi Christchurch’s continued rebuild activities and the preservation of its cultural heritage.
Michael is a chartered accountant who has spent more than 25 years providing professional services to medium- to large-sized corporate entities in both New Zealand and overseas. His career has included a number of statutory appointment roles at schools on behalf of the Ministry of Education.
In addition, Michael works with a large number of not-for-profit and public sector boards and governance bodies, including the Christchurch City Council, Ara Institute of Canterbury, the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand and the International Track and Field Trust.
