The beautiful ground floor space and adjoining terrace overlooking the Arts Centre’s South Quadrangle is a ripe canvas for a passionate and experienced hospitality operator to make their mark.
The 200-square-metre space – which was once home to Annie’s Wine Bar and Restaurant – is set in the restored and strengthened category one, heritage-listed Girls’ High/School of Art building (1893 to 1902).
The space can be configured in a number of ways and provides a historic backdrop like no other in Christchurch. It has the potential to have two separate front of house areas and a kitchen.
The Arts Centre is committed to attracting tenants who will contribute to the site’s vision of creating a hub for creative entrepreneurs in the heart of Christchurch.
The Girls’ High/School of Art building has been fully earthquake strengthened, features a full range of modern services and has been restored specifically with hospitality in mind.
Proposals will be evaluated by Arts Centre management based on a number of pre-specified criteria, with recommendations then put forward to the Arts Centre Board of Trustees for approval.
