A Baby Called Sovereignty will take you on a journey with local wāhine through impressive indigenous sound, movement, text, and visual arts led by Juanita Hepi.

When sovereignty was born, it was the best day of their lives...

From the wāhine who brought you 'I Am Not Your Dusky Maiden', this work is a culmination of genealogies into forms, a progression from Te Kore to Te Ao Mārama and it is a love letter to our daughters and our mothers and our kui and our wāhine atua, wāhine tipuna.
