New works by young Lyttelton artist Asher Newbery grace our walls in August. In his first solo exhibition at The Central, the origin of things, Te Pō, is the start point or perhaps the whakapapa of these paintings. Join us for a wonderful moment in the emerging career of this Bachelor of Māori Visual Arts graduate from Massey University, Palmerston North.

Artist's talk
Join Asher Newbery at The Central Art Gallery as he talks about his latest exhibition Ruruhira. Part of this artist's talk will be in Te Reo Māori, and it is free to attend.
