Mixed Media artist Bruce Stilwell produces technically meticulous fibre works with velvet and threads. Through his work, Stilwell explores the mathematical beauty that underpins the structure of our visual world.
Come and watch Bruce create a string design on a three-metre wide trampoline frame as part of the first weekend of The Arts Centre Sculpture Festival.
Ticket entry allows you to view all the works in the exhibition. Buy a ticket for one of the weekend festival days by clicking on the yellow button. You'll also get to enjoy live lunchtime music, and can grab a bite to eat from one of the food trucks in the North Quad.
Pieces in the festival include Bruce's giant work, Kina, which made the finals of this year's National Field Days Number 8 Wire Art Awards. The work incorporates an impressive 750 meters of wire painstakingly cut, fitted and welded together - 1400 individual pieces in total.
