Ceramic Workshop
With guidance from ceramic artist, Emma Turner, have a go at making an Arts Centre inspired vessel. The workshop will involve handbuilding and using a combination of moulds, colour and texture tools to create colourful and abstract vessels inspired by architecture and other arts around Te Matatiki Toi Ora. After the workshop, Emma will glaze and fire the work for you.
Emma Turner is a ceramic artist, working from her home studio in Ōtautahi. Her studio practice is full of colour, creativity and storytelling. She has been developing her craft since 2015 and graduated with a Diploma in Art and Design from the Dunedin Art School in 2020 with a focus on ceramics.
Emma has since established a busy studio practice and featured in several exhibitions and galleries nationwide. She is an active member of the local clay community, teaching workshops and making functional wares for wholesale and her shop, Keep.
