Enjoy the arts outdoors soaking in the summer vibes. Open Air is a relaxed programme of events with wide appeal, running until early February.
Open Air kicks off in October with A Heritage of Big Bands (Labour Weekend) then jazz every Sunday afternoon in November, followed by Christmas performances with Toi Toi Opera and the Woolston Brass Bands. As we enter the lazy days of summer, pull up a beanbag for outdoor movies, plus opera and storytelling for kids. In February, there’s a Garden City Mākete, and a one-day festival of Music from the Muslim World.
