Located in the heart of Ōtautahi Christchurch in the arts precinct, The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora takes up an entire city block bounded by Worcester Boulevard, Rolleston Avenue, and Hereford and Montreal streets. It is nestled among key Christchurch attractions, including the Christchurch Botanic Gardens, Canterbury Museum and Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna O Waiwhetū.

Parking
The Arts Centre has a limited number of 10, 30, 60 and 120-minute visitor car parks available.
The 10-minute parks are in front of the Registry Additions building at 301 Montreal Street. Click here to see their location on a map.
The 30-minute parks are in Market Square, which is accessible from the driveway just before 301 Montreal Street. Click here to see their location on a map.
The 60-minute parks are in the Hereford Street car park, located at 25 Hereford Street.
There are four 120-minute electric vehicle (EV) charging station parks in the Hereford Street car park, located at 25 Hereford Street.
There are two mobility access parks in Market Square and two in Hereford Street, with no time limit.
There are plenty of on-street metered parks, parking buildings and other parking options available nearby (Christchurch Art Gallery access via Gloucester Street, Ravenscar House access via Worcester Boulevard, and West End parking building access via Cashel Street) and other parking options available nearby. Cycling
Cycling is a great option for getting to The Arts Centre, with many family-friendly routes leading right to the centre.
Cycle racks are located out the front of the Boys’ High building and Clock Tower, next to Teece Museum, and on the fence line by the white marquee in Market Square. Racks are also located outside Maker Workshop and outside Canterbury Museum on Rolleston Avenue, which is across the road from the Great Hall and Rutherford’s Den.

The Arts Centre will connect to a number of the 13 major cycleways being constructed in Christchurch over the coming years. The cycleways will make it even more safer and convenient for cyclists to travel to The Arts Centre from the suburbs, business and shopping zones, as well as popular recreational areas.
Public bus
Plan your journey at www.metroinfo.co.nz The number 17 bus stop is two minutes walk from the Rolleston Avenue or Hereford Street bus stop. The Christchurch Bus Interchange is ten minutes walk away from The Arts Centre.

There are three shared e-scooter companies operating in Christchurch and each provide electric scooters that are available to rent for short journeys. They are Lime and Neuron.

Peer-to-peer operators Uber and Ola and traditional taxi operators Blue Star Taxis, Gold Band Taxis, Green Cabs and First Direct operate in greater Christchurch and service The Arts Centre.
