Like all Cantabrians, The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora is a special place for Murray. 

His parents met in the Great Hall during the University of Canterbury Orientation in 1964.  So his very being is entwined with The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora.

Murray brings extensive governance & financial experience to the board and is currently the chair of the Finance & Audit Committee at Rangi Ruru Girls' School, and a director of eight Naylor Love companies.

Murray also brings more than 20 years of experience in senior finance roles and is currently the CFO & Company Secretary of Naylor Love Construction, New Zealand's largest privately-owned construction company. He has extensive experience in senior leadership roles in a wide range of industries including construction, infrastructure, transport, retail, waste management and financial institutions bringing significant experience in Financial Management, Risk Management, Strategic Planning and Sustainability.  

He is Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors.
