‘All Things Considered’ highlights Dick Frizzell’s remarkable 50 year career. Well-known for his pop art paintings and prints, and often controversial subject matter, Dick’s oeuvre is substantially more than the aforementioned. Featuring works rarely seen, and from his own personal collection, this Dick Frizzell retrospective is a special opportunity to view an array of artworks spanning Dick’s entire career.

Dick Frizzell trained at Ilam School of Fine Arts at the University of Canterbury, between 1960-1963, under the tutelage of artists such as Rudi Gopas and Russell Clark. Following art school Frizzell worked for many years in advertising, influences of which are evident in his artistic practice. He was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for services to the arts, in 2004. Frizzell lives in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.
