‘Under the Kitchen Sink’ are a sublime jazz ensemble.

Led by Matt Davis, saxophinist, poet and spark, the crew have spent lifetimes of dedicated joy performing throughout the motu.

Pianist, John Bevan is like an encyclopedia of riffs and melodies. Bassist Russell Stedman brings calm, determination, and originality. Chris Searle, on drums, locks into any groove. Lisa Tui Aroha sings like greenstone ringing, like a tui can growl.

This event is part of Altiora Live - pub gigs every Thursday evening in November. These pub gigs are all about socialising – no formality, no fixed seating, just an opportunity to unwind after work. The bar will be open. The dance floor is ready. The food trucks will be operating. Different band, different style each week: blues, funk, jazz, and swing. See you there!
