Jazz Club: Fiona Pears

‘Electrifying’ – ‘extraordinarily animated’ – ‘featuring rare and natural charisma’….

Personal highlights throughout her career include appearing at Ronnie Scott’s world-famous jazz club in London and performing her own compositions and arrangements with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.

Fiona has toured extensively and has performed and recorded with City of Prague Philharmonic, Dave Dobbyn, Hayley Westenra, Bic Runga, Heather Nova, New Zealand Army Band & Christchurch Symphony Orchestra. 

She has also opened shows for Tony Bennett, Ottmar Liebert and ‘the clown prince of Denmark’, the late Victor Borge.

Alongside her performing, Fiona has also written arrangements for artists on the Universal, EMI and Classic FM record labels. She has released seven CDs and two DVDs to date.

This concert will feature a fiery melting pot of flavours, with Fiona’s original compositions showing her love and passion for Tango music. She will be joined by the talented Dan Robertson on piano, Pete Fleming on Double Bass, Connor Hartley-Hall on guitar and Doug Brush on drums/percussion.
