Ma Ururangi is a collective body of works completed by 8 students from Toihoukura.
Our primary reason for bringing this exhibition to the Waitaha was to be able to include one of our fellow students battling cancer in Christchurch. This was initiated to be inclusive and to support her financially by giving her a percentage of the proceeds.
We took this opportunity to make Ururangi from the Matariki Constellation as our kaupapa.
The works are diverse in medium from relief, painting and graphite, reflecting the individuality of preference for each artist.
All works will be for sale with 25% going towards our fellow student battling cancer.
