This collection of work is all about capturing the subtle nuances of the world around us. Toni mainly works with open acrylics, which perform like oil paints, allowing her to manipulate and blur edges as she pleases. Her exhibition theme centres around this concept of nuance, exploring how small details can have a big impact. Through abstract landscapes and figurative forms, she aims to convey the layers of texture, movement, and colour that make up our everyday environments.
Come join Toni in discovering the hidden meaning in her paintings.
All artworks are for sale.
Artist's Biography
Toni Richards (née Duffy) is a painter based in Christchurch, New Zealand. She loves the slow-drying process of open acrylics, giving her plenty of time to play and experiment on the canvas. Through bold brushstrokes and vibrant colours, she hopes to create a dialogue between the viewer and the subject, encouraging a deeper connection to the world around us.
