Join local artist Ghostcat (Mike Beer) for a hands-on, two-hour creative workshop. Explore a variety of creative techniques and create your own scratch-built artwork inspired by the historic Arts Centre.
Ghostcat (Mike Beer) is an Ōtautahi Christchurch based artist whose intricate scratch-built creations have captured the imagination of audiences.
Exhibiting across Aotearoa, and with work featured in various collections, museums and galleries, Ghostcat's work is filled with a sense of wonder, humour and exquisite detail.
This event is part of The Arts Centre's Sculpture Festival 2024 featuring 37 New Zealand artists and 250+ artworks, on show and on sale. Sculptural pieces include ceramics, jewellery, sculpture, glass and mixed media. There will be a range of artist-led creative workshops during opening weekend (5 & 6 Oct).
