The meaning of HaNa is flower. The flowers turn into seeds and disperse everywhere, producing many more flowers.
Haruko visited Christchurch for the first time 28 years ago and was fascinated by the great nature and the kindness of New Zealanders. So, she thought it would be wonderful if someday she could travel back and forth between Japan and New Zealand, holding a joint exhibition, and exchanging art. Her long-cherished wish has come true and Haruko is creating the event with the support of Christchurch City Council and some kind artist friends she met in New Zealand and Japan.
Haruko's mission is to change the world through the power of art inspired by love.
Opening Night on Monday 21 October 6 - 8pm | Japanese traditional dance performance at 7pm
